I started painting full time twelve years ago.
For many years, together with my wife we ran a successful graphic design practice in Norwich, Norfolk before the desire to paint became so strong that I decided to ‘bite the bullet’ and gamble on a future at the easel. I spent two years painting in Port Issac, Cornwall before finally moving back and settling in a small village just south of Norwich where I now work from my studio in the garden.
Born in London, my childhood memories of the docks when it was full of ships from all over the World have played a major role in my early work, and my passion for aviation, concentrating my paintings on actual people and real events is on going.
If there is one thing that is core throughout much of my work it is history.
‘Variety is the ’Spice of Life’, so much so, that living in countryside it is difficult to ignore nature. Long walks with my Cairn Terrier, Mungo have inspired me to start painting what I best describe as mini landscapes and flowers.
Always fun to try something new.
